About Us
CancerLink is Hong Kong's oncology clinical research patient-matching platform. We believe every suitable trial opportunity is worth finding.
Our Mission
Clinical research is not a last resort — it is one of the treatment options. But eligibility criteria are complex and information is scattered, leaving patients and families unsure where to start. CancerLink organizes oncology clinical studies currently recruiting in Hong Kong into a list that can be filtered by cancer type, stage, and genetic mutation, and translates complex medical knowledge into language patients can understand, making matching as simple as booking an appointment.
This platform does not replace the doctor's role in diagnosis and treatment. Our role is information organization and matching referral: helping you understand what trial options may be available before discussing them with your treating physician.
Data Sources and Update Frequency
All clinical research information on this site comes from ClinicalTrials.gov — the global clinical trial registry maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. We screen for oncology-related studies recruiting in Hong Kong and retain the trial ID (NCT number) so you can verify the original registry entry.
The platform automatically syncs the latest data every two weeks, including newly registered studies, changes in recruitment status, and completed trials. Each study page shows the data source and last sync date; actual eligibility is always subject to the research team's formal assessment and the informed consent form.
Editorial and Review Process
Articles in the "Cancer Types and Treatment" knowledge base and "Research News" follow a fixed editorial process:
- Topic selection: topics are planned based on common patient questions and the latest research developments
- Writing and compilation: written by the editorial team; some news drafts are AI-assisted and labeled with the original source
- Medical review: before publication, reviewers verify the data, terminology, and sources; all AI-generated drafts are reviewed by a human before publication
- Publication and labeling: articles show the author, reviewer, and review date, with a disclaimer at the end
- Corrections: if you find an error, please email us; once verified, we will update it as soon as possible
